				Overview:

Engage and motivate a high energy class while promoting a safe and fun environment. Remain knowledgeable on all topics regarding fitness instruction and staying abreast of all required certifications. Able to work shifts in the Fitness Center helping guests/members with their workouts and answering questions regarding fitness.

Responsibilities:

* Enthusiastic about group exercise classes and enjoy creating and delivering new, fresh and innovative routines
* Confident and professional, reporting on-time with a positive attitude and a passion to motivate others
* A professional who is collaborative and a flexible leader in and out of the studio
* Plan routines, choose appropriate music, and choose different movements for each set of muscles, depending on participants' capabilities and limitations.
* Instruct participants in maintaining exertion levels in order to maximize benefits from exercise routines.
* Plan appropriate physical education programs to promote development of participants' physical attributes and social skills.
* Teach individual to participate through instruction and demonstration, utilizing knowledge of fitness techniques and of participants' physical capabilities
* Maintains a safe and clean environment within the Fitness Center
* Maintains all required certifications
* Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, kinesiology and anatomy
* Full understanding of all exercise equipment and proper operations
* Good communication skills and ability to instruct and teach.
* Work independently with minimal supervision

* Work holidays and events and special programs as scheduled.

* Ability to work early mornings and evenings.

Hotel Specific Functions:

* Maintain standards of guest services and consistent positive guest experience as documented by J.D. Power and AAA Ratings
* Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotels culture, rules, and regulations.
* Answer phones using the proper "Moments of Service" scenario.
* Provide guests with cheerful, personable, efficient service.
* Responsible for a clean and professional appearance of uniforms
* Fully understand and implement "Moments of Service" and "Power of Engagement."
* Interact with every guest using Omni Standards
* Knowledgeable about all hotel amenities and property specifics
* Actively participate in the assurance of the safety of all guests
* Treat everyone, supervisors, staff and guests with courtesy and respect always

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

* Current nationally accredited group exercise certification from among (e.g. AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NASM)
* Active Yoga certification/Pilates certification 
* Minimum of one year of experience actively leading successful group exercise classes.

Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)

* Able to lift and lift up to 50-60 pounds occasionally and 30-40 pounds repeatedly.
* Able to stoop, stand, push, pull and walk or stand for long periods of time
* Associates must be able to communicate verbally to our guests and able to multitask.
