Responsibilities:

Performs patient evaluations, develops treatment plans and sets goals for treatment.  Communicates patient status, progress, and discharge recommendations to the interdisciplinary team.  Oversees the provision of service by technicians and assistants as required. This position requires providing care/service to an acutely ill through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Essential functions include but not limited to:

* Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
* Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
* Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
* Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
* Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
* Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.
* Establishes presence of consent prior to treatment/procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapy Program
* CA Physical Therapist license
* American Heart Association BLS certification
