Responsibilities:

As a Per Diem OB/GYN Laborist/Hospitalist with Camellia Women's Health, you will be a vital part of a long-standing, respected practice in Sacramento, dedicated to providing exceptional women's healthcare. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced OB/GYN physician to manage high-risk obstetrics, deliver comprehensive labor and delivery services, and handle emergent GYN consults and surgeries within a Level III NICU access hospital setting. Your expertise will directly impact a diverse patient population, ensuring access to quality medical care in a physician-owned, independent practice environment known for its commitment to patient well-being and professional growth.

Every day you will manage a dynamic caseload within a busy hospital service, collaborating closely with a supportive team of OB/GYNs and Nurse Practitioners. You'll utilize your clinical skills in laborist coverage, addressing both routine and complex obstetric cases, and respond to GYN emergencies, including surgical interventions. Enjoy the flexibility of choosing your shifts-whether it's 6 12-hour shifts or 3 24-hour shifts per month, with options for both day and night rotations, to perfectly align with your work-life balance. This hospitalist model allows you to focus on direct patient care in an environment that values continuous professional development through collaborative case discussions.

To be successful in this role, you will possess post training experience as a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN specializing in laborist and hospitalist care. You'll demonstrate an unwavering commitment to patient safety and excellent outcomes, especially within diverse patient populations including Medicaid and commercially insured individuals. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications:

Required

* Completion of ACGME accredited training program(s)
* Board certified or board eligible in Obstectrics and Gynecology
* Minimum 1 year of post residency OBGYN experience
* Excellent clinical and surgical skills
* Must be comfortable working in a busy service and delivering high risk OB patients
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
* Ability to consistently commit to a .5 schedule.
