About Presbyterian Children's Program

Dedicated to family-centered Care, the Children's Center at Presbyterian encompasses both inpatient and outpatient services for specialty pediatric care.  Our dedicated pediatric intensive care, pediatric inpatient unit, NICU and thriving multispecialty clinic are all co-located at our flagship campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Our comprehensive program also includes Child Life services, who provide activities, socialization, therapy and other services for children and families.  Rachel's Courtyard - a colorful, whimsical playground in the sky extends from the hospital's sixth floor pediatric unit.

* Thriving multispecialty clinic setting provides pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, ENT, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, surgery, behavioral medicine, pulmonology, hematology/oncology, chronic care, and radiology services.

* Three pediatric urgent care clinics, staffed with pediatricians and pediatric nurses to care for ill children.

We are seeking a fellowship-trained BC/BE Pediatric Otolaryngologist to join our rapidly growing Pediatric ENT practice.

Practice Highlights

*  Join an established practice in an integrated, thriving multispecialty clinic setting

*  Excellent support from pediatric intensivists, hospitalists and neonatologists

*  Ability to influence growth of the program

*  Call is mostly phone-based for nights and weekends. Occasionally, weekend hours may be required for consult and/or emergencies

Summary

Provides comprehensive care services for pediatric ENT patient.  The Pediatric Otolaryngologist leads the care team in providing efficient and compassionate care. 

Responsibilities

* Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes of pediatric ENT patients. This care will be delivered by interdisciplinary team members to assure high quality patient care and outcomes. 

* Manages the physician/patient relationship, working to assure patient and family satisfaction with care. 

* Participates in system-wide health management initiatives.

* Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.

* Assists in the development and implementation of pediatric clinical and service standards.

* Receives and resolves patient complaints.

* Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.

* Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops. 

* Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients.

* Works to assure patient satisfaction with care.

* Participates in team and multispecialty group meetings.

* Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.

* Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes within the assigned facilities.

* Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level, including legible documentation.

* Assists in leading the Advanced Practice Clinicians in delivering appropriate patient education/care

* Performs other functions as required.
