Responsibilities:

Summary
Provides comprehensive care services for pediatric hematology and oncology patients. The Pediatric Oncologist leads the care team in providing efficient and compassionate care. 

Responsibilities
* Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes of pediatric hematology and oncology patients. This care will be delivered by interdisciplinary team members to assure high quality patient care and outcomes. 
* Manages the physician/patient relationship, working to assure patient and family satisfaction with care. 
* Participate in system-wide health management initiatives. 
* Provide input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues. 
* Assist in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards. 
* Receive and resolve patient complaints. 
* Participate in the recruitment and replacement of other providers. 
* Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops. 
* Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients.
* Works to assure patient satisfaction with care.
* Participates in team and multispecialty group meetings.
* Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
* Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes within the assigned facilities.
* Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level, including legible documentation.
* Assists in leading the Advanced Practice Clinicians in delivering appropriate patient education/care 
* Support COG requirements - study protocols, participation in monthly tumor board
* Performs other functions as required.
