Pediatric Hospitalist Position Overview In this pediatric hospitalist role, you will play a vital part in shaping the inpatient pediatric experience, ensuring high-quality care delivery while collaborating closely with specialists, nursing teams, and community providers. Key Responsibilities for Pediatric Hospitalist * Provide direct inpatient care, including daily rounds, admissions, and discharges * Interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and manage ongoing treatment plans * Perform essential pediatric procedures such as IV placement, lumbar punctures, and resuscitations * Collaborate with subspecialists, surgeons, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated, high-quality care * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to resident education and mentorship Practice Highlights * Care provided within a Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery environment * Practice based at MyMichigan Medical Center - Midland, a respected regional healthcare facility * Out-of-house call model supporting improved work-life balance * Structured 24-hour shift schedule * Collegial, team-oriented culture with strong clinical and administrative support Qualifications: * MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics * Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program * Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
