Our dedicated pediatric intensive care, pediatric inpatient unit, NICU and thriving multispecialty clinic are all co-located at our flagship campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are seeking Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our team. We welcome an experienced BC practitioner or a new BC/BE graduate. * You will join our team of one Pediatric Gastroenterologist and two Certified Nurse Practitioners supported by dedicated ancillary staff including dietician and behavioral health professionals. * Supportive Adult GI group on-site for ERCPs and motility studies. * Dedicated, experienced pediatric GI nursing staff that works well as a team, helps to manage inbox and symptoms calls * Opportunities for general pediatric gastroenterology and those with additional fellowship training * Responsibilities encompass outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations for patients admitted to the pediatric hospitalist service, inpatient and outpatient procedures. * Excellent work life balance with flexible call schedule - Primarily phone calls on weekday evenings and one weekend per month * Systemwide EPIC electronic medical record system with dedicated onsite support * Physician-friendly initiatives include a brand-new physician lounge with covered meals, gym and easy access parking * Non-profit Healthcare System - Federal Public Student Loan (PSLF) qualified employer * Eligibility for H1b sponsorship and waiver position Responsibilities: Summary Provides comprehensive care services for pediatric GI patients. The Pediatric Gastroenterologist leads the care team in providing efficient and compassionate care. Responsibilities * Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes of pediatric GI patients. This care will be delivered by interdisciplinary team members to assure high quality patient care and outcomes. * Manages the physician/patient relationship, working to assure patient and family satisfaction with care. * Participates in system-wide health management initiatives. * Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues. * Assists in the development and implementation of pediatric clinical and service standards. * Receives and resolves patient complaints. * Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers. * Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops. * Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients. * Works to assure patient satisfaction with care. * Participates in team and multispecialty group meetings. * Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues. * Oversees and is accountable for the overall quality of care and clinical outcomes within the assigned facilities. * Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level, including legible documentation. * Performs other functions as required.
