				Overview:

The Children's Hospital of Illinois Pediatric Otolaryngology is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our team. 

 Job Specifics:  

* Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to fulfill the Advanced Practice Provider Pediatric ENT opportunity at the Children's Hospital of Illinois located in Peoria, Illinois.
* Close collaboration with our Pediatric Otolaryngologists and PAs within the hospital, clinic and OR settings.
* Travel to CHOI outreach clinics and participation in multidisciplinary clinics will be required.
* The ideal candidate will have experience in ENT or a willingness to learn the subspecialty.
* No evening call.
* No weekends.

Position Summary: 

* According to professional standards of care, performs a variety of advanced nursing / physician assistant functions.
* Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

* The candidate must maintain state license as an APN/PA in the state of Illinois and professional certifications (APLS, ENPC, or PALS). 
* Certification as an acute care specialty nurse practitioner or physician assistant through a nationally recognized certifying body is required.  
* For APNs, surgical assist certification will be required after completion of training program
