Onsite Position in Peoria, IL

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for collecting employee timekeeping data, calculating wages, processing deductions, issuing paychecks, and maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with tax and employment laws and addressing employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions. The Payroll Specialist manages all aspects of OSF's payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate's degree in accounting.

Experience: 2 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Solid understanding of the common fiscal year and year end procedures in a payroll department. Ability to analyze and solve arithmetical problems. Well organized and attentive to details. Ability to work on several problems at one time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business or accounting.

Licensure/ Certification: American Payroll Association Certified Payroll Processor (CPP)
