Overview: Payroll Specialist - Remote Full Time Benefits Temporary position through 3/31/26 Are you a payroll expert with a passion for accuracy and excellent customer service? Join our AskHR Payroll Team as a Payroll Specialist, where you'll play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, assisting with escalations, and providing training support. This position requires independent judgment within established guidelines while collaborating with the AskHR Payroll Manager as needed. Your contributions will directly support affiliate HR departments and enhance their operational effectiveness. Candidates with UKG WorkForce experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: Payroll Administration * Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for payroll within assigned departments. * Calculate payroll adjustments, including wages, PTO balances, and alternate rates. * Perform W-4 and direct deposit maintenance and coordinate pay-related entries. * Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy by working with timekeepers and managers. * Train timekeepers and team members on Timekeeping software to ensure compliance. * Analyze reports and data to provide ongoing payroll guidance as the designated Master Timekeeper. * Clearly communicate errors and adjustments through Case Management. * Maintain detailed documentation of timekeeping environment setups. * Join us and help shape an efficient and service-driven payroll experience! Qualifications: Qualifications * Associates Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or Business or 2 years payroll experience * Microsoft Office Suite experience * Critical thinking skills and detail oriented * FPC or CPP Certification preferred Experience: * 3 years of payroll experience in the areas of administration, processing, analysis and customer service Skills: * MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Knowledge of Federal, State and local tax regulations * Complex knowledge of payroll processing and software. * Leadership and communication skills around efficiency, clarity, and diplomacy * Strong customer service skills and a customer focus * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail * Ability to communicate effectively and work with all levels of employees throughout the UnityPoint Health, its subsidiaries and affiliates. * Infor-Lawson and UKG Workforce experience preferred
