Overview:
Omni Hotels & Resorts is in search of Payroll Analyst at our Dallas-based shared services team. This advanced payroll position requires someone with advanced payroll proficiency in a corporate environment. This position will manage the payroll process for multiple payrolls across multiple localities in a timely manner and in accordance with State and Federal laws and Omni's internal standards. Additional tasks include identifying inconsistencies, improvement opportunities, and quality assurance throughout the payroll process.
This is a Monday through Friday, on-site position based out of the Corporate Office in Dallas, Texas.
Responsibilities:
* Proactively communicate with hotel property Finance departments to ensure the receipt of all information required for payroll processing in a timely manner
* Process payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions for multiple hotel properties, including supplemental payrolls when necessary
* Input court-ordered garnishments into payroll processing system and maintain organized, confidential files while ensuring accuracy
* Research, analyze and resolve outstanding payroll issues by collecting and analyzing information and identifying trends
* Develop suggestions for improving payroll processes and policies, preventing future inconsistencies, and ensuring continuous improvement
* Hold assigned properties accountable to Omni Payroll Standards & Processes
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and practices
* Generate reports, review for accuracy of payroll data, and coordinate necessary corrections with responsible departments
* Administer pay card program
* Complete reconciliations of payroll (hours, earnings, & deductions) between time and attendance system and payroll processing system prior to and after submission
* Provide support to internal audit team by providing all required documentation or data regarding payroll process, and sharing feedback for essential process improvement
* Oversight and monitoring of W-2 processing
* Review, analyze and monitor 7i exemptions to ensure proper use
* Review, analyze and monitor 8027 data requirements, ensuring all data is properly collected, entered and balances
* Provide support for quarterly and annual taxes, as well as meeting deadlines for federal, state and local taxes
* Perform any other payroll-related functions as directed by management
Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of payroll experience processing multi-state payroll in a Paymaster/Payroll Specialist role or equivalent required
* Hospitality payroll experience in both union and non-union environments
* Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credentials preferred
* Experience with Payroll applications such as UltiPro, Oracle, or Kronos highly preferred
* Must have prior experience in roles requiring strong problem solving/analytical skills, prioritization and excellent service delivery
* College degree preferred
* Excellent communication and attention to detail are necessary for the role
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and advanced skills in Excel
