Join The Oasis at Death Valley as a Payroll Administrator, where you'll play a key role in managing confidential payroll data, processing bi-weekly payroll, and ensuring accurate deductions, benefits, and compliance with corporate guidelines. The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $20.35/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:
* Control and monitor all confidential employee payroll information and checks. Set up and maintain employee payroll files for all employees, sort and distribute bi-weekly payroll checks.
* Set up, maintain, and ensure all deductions, payroll corrections, and benefit hours are added into the payroll systems (Lawson or Kronos) in a timely manner.
* Review report of unapproved Kronos punches and contact appropriate management on any unapproved; complete the Kronos time-keeping system upload to Lawson timely and accurately.
* Ensure timely uploading and editing of tips received from operating departments.
* Balance the PM140 download and submit it to the Corporate Payroll for final review/approval.
* File and maintain all Lawson system generated reports as required by corporate guidelines.
* Responsible for researching and answering employee and manager questions.
* Coordinate with Human Resources on topics that require their knowledge or assistance.
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of terminated employee's paperwork, both voluntary and involuntary.
* Responsible for completing the monthly payroll deduction audit.
* Ensure the timely distribution of employee W-2's.
* Process all COS/PAN forms. Completing all necessary processes when terminating an employee.
* Complete the Form 8027 and reconciliation monthly.
* Participate in surprise paycheck audits.
* Participant in property inventories and with the month end closing process as directed.
* Complete all assigned balance sheet account reconciliations timely and accurately.
* Create, maintain, and revise the payroll desk policy and procedures manual.
* Responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Three (3) years prior payroll experience preferred.
* At least one year prior experience in an administrative position or undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field
* Must be able to establish and maintain an effective professional working relationship with co-workers, Assistant Controller, Controller, and other departments, working together in a positive work environment.
* Must be able to handle highly confidential information.
* Basic skills such as: attention to detail skills, reasoning skills and multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
* Advanced computer skills e.g. ability to work with Excel Spreadsheets and Outlook email.
