Overview:
This position is physically located in Iraq.
Pavement Repair Technician(s) operate light and heavy-duty equipment as well as power and hand tools to maintain and repair concrete and asphalt surfaces such as runways, taxiways, roadways, parking lots, etc. The Pavement Repair Technician(s) duties are mixing materials in preparation of excavated areas in support of repair operations. The Pavement Repair Technician(s) will assist the Senior Pavement Repair Technician in constructing concrete structures, dig trenches and/or haul dirt. The Pavement Repair Technician(s) is part of a team of repair personnel tasked with excavation, repair, and maintenance of concrete and asphalt surfaces. The Pavement Repair Technician(s) must be capable of reading, writing, and speaking English. The Pavement Repair Technician(s) must be capable of reviewing and interpreting design drawings.
Responsibilities:

* Works with a team of Pavement Repair Technicians who operate light and heavy-duty equipment as well as power and hand tools to repair concrete and asphalt surfaces such as runways, taxiways, roadways, parking lots, etc.
* Handles the mixing of materials in preparation of excavated areas in support of repair operations.
* Construct concrete structures, dig trenches and/or haul dirt.
* Works as a member of a team of repair personnel tasked with excavation, repair, and maintenance of concrete and asphalt surfaces.
* Must be capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
* Must be capable of reviewing and interpreting design drawings.
Qualifications:
* OCN Minimum Qualifications:
* High School diploma, GED certificate, or international equivalent.
* 1-3 years of experience in concrete and/or asphalt repair and finish or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted.
* Valid driver's license.
* Must be able to work rotating shifts in support of repair requirements.
* Must be able to pass a basic physical and pass a background check in support of deployment to a remote location.
* Preferred Experience:
* 3-5 years of experience working in concrete and/or asphalt repair and finish operation on a LOGCAP, AFCAP, FMS, or commercial-type program/project in the Middle East, preferably Iraq, Afghanistan, or a comparable location.
* Working Conditions:
* Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
* Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
* Physical Requirements:
* Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
* Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
