Responsibilities:

As our Patient Services Professional, you will be the welcoming voice and central administrative support, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations through diverse engagements.

Every day, you will expertly manage phone customer service, distribute communications, and handle patient information like demographics, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. You'll also process referrals, authorizations, pre-registrations, and other clerical tasks, adapting to clinic needs while responsibly handling sensitive data.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional communication, meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and system proficiency. Your proactive service, adaptability, and responsible handling of information are crucial for patient care and clinic goals.

* Demonstrates record processing ability, maintaining productivity and quality standards: Assembles and/or Analyzes records for deficiencies. Daily surgery and clinic schedules Birth certificate functions File maintenance
* Demonstrates ability to use health data collection tools (Profile, MIDAS and document templates)
* Understands and applies privacy and confidentiality policies to release of information and access by all users requesting PHI.
* Maintains and corrects demographic information and unit records in hospital information system (MS4, Cerner, QuadraMed combining and un-combining). Able to report potential medical identity theft
* Demonstrates proficiency in basic computer skills such as email, Word, Excel, Windows operating system, use of icons and menus, work with more than one application at a time.

Qualifications:

Required

* One year of experience in medical record setting or Equivalent coursework
* Successful completion of coursework in medical terminology; computer proficiency, and Microsoft Office or similar products
* Computer literacy with electronic health records.

* Electronic Health Record certificate or equivalent education

Preferred

* Bilingual highly desirable preference Spanish
