Overview: Shift: PRN; As Needed + rotating holidays and weekends As a Patient Safety Technician, you will make a real impact by supporting clients in their daily activities while helping maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. You'll monitor and interact with clients throughout the day, document activity, and contribute to care guided by trauma-informed principles. Responsibilities: * Cleaning building, completing laundry, stocking supplies, and preparing food for clients * Respond to calls and provide front desk coverage * Completes safety rounding to maintain therapeutic, secure, and safe environment for patients/visitors/staff including enforcement of rules. * Accurately documents safety rounds. * Intervenes appropriately and therapeutically in crisis situations using crisis intervention preventions and trauma informed care. * Demonstrate competence in recognizing and responding to patients physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs utilizing crisis prevention intervention and trauma informed care. Qualifications: Education: * High school diploma or equivalent. License(s)/Certification(s): * Possession of a valid Class "D" Iowa driver's license or an equivalent license from the employee's state of residence. * CPR * CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training, initial & yearly renewal Experience: * Knowledge of proper food handling and preparation. * Mental health or substance disorder experience preferred. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
