Overview:
***This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***
The Patient Intake Supervisor manages patient information and medical records, ensuring accurate documentation, coding, and reporting within the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). Responsibilities include patient registration, records management, insurance verification, and support of patient flow and administrative operations. This position ensures compliance with all regulatory, confidentiality, and organizational standards.
Responsibilities:

* Register patients, maintain demographic and insurance information, and ensure accuracy of patient data.
* Manage medical records including creation, filing, storage, retrieval, and archival according to policy and compliance standards.
* Ensure proper coding, billing, and documentation to support clinical and administrative needs.
* Facilitate patient flow, including scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes.
* Assist with patient inquiries, verification of insurance, and coordination of care.
* Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
* Generate reports and provide administrative support for quality assurance and operational management.
* Collaborate with medical, administrative, and clinical teams to optimize patient care and documentation accuracy.
* Participate in training, process improvement initiatives, and compliance audits.
* Support MTF operational readiness by maintaining proper record-keeping and administrative procedures.

Qualifications:
* Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* Education/Experience Requirements
* Associate degree in Health Information Management, Medical Administration, or related field preferred.
* High school diploma or equivalent required with relevant training or experience.
* Experience:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in patient administration, medical records management, or health information services.
* Licensure / Registration:
* None required; certification in medical records, coding, or health information management preferred (e.g., RHIT, CPC).
* Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Child Care National Agency Check (CNACI) clearance requiring US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
* Certification:
* Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) preferred for patient interaction areas.
* Maintain any relevant certifications and BCLS for the duration of employment.
* Meet all deployment, security, and credentialing requirements.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare administrative team in deployed or operational settings.
* Skills:
* Proficient in patient registration, medical records management, and healthcare information systems.
* Knowledge of HIPAA, medical documentation standards, and coding procedures.
* Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deployed, or austere medical environment.
* Capable of maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
* Working Conditions:
* None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
* Physical Requirements:
* Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
