Patient Experience Coordinator - Global Patient Services 

The Patient Experience Coordinator identifies and organizes aspects of need for non-local patients and families traveling to Nationwide Children's Hospital and provides back-up to the International Patient Coordinator on an ongoing basis. Primary areas of responsibility include proactive contact and completion of logistical details, creating and maintaining relationships internally and externally, developing and implementing initiatives around patient experience and patient satisfaction, and collaborating with the Financial Coordinator on benefit verification.

Responsibilities:

*  Facilitates the patient & family experience through exploration of available services, patient satisfaction surveys, multi-disciplinary collaboration, marketing materials, and various face to face activities and hospital tours.

*  Coordinates and maintains domestic & international lodging, long term housing opportunities, transportation, interpretation, and supportive services, and documents all necessary coordination in Epic and Apex systems.

*  Demonstrates vital processes and information to hotel leaders and prospective partners through presentations and completes reoccurring meetings with established partners.

*  Works directly with Global Patient Services Financial Coordinator for identification of patients who require prior authorization or verification of benefits prior to their arrival to NCH. Provides support on data tracking for out of area domestic and international patients.

*  Serves as Global Patient Services point-of-contact for Ronald McDonald House relationship, including arranging standing meetings, assisting with issue resolution, and submitting referrals for in-house patients when necessary.

*  Manages and communicates patient information in EPIC and to appropriate service lines, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are as up to date as possible and that any necessary FYI information has been communicated.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, healthcare administration, hospitality management or a related field.

Skills:

*  Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to present and interact with diverse groups.

*  Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret data.

*  Bilingual or multilingual preferred. Experience: 2-3 years' experience in a hospital or healthcare system, or hospitality organization. Familiarity with Epic system.
