Each shift requires every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Younker Rehabilitation has been providing rehabilitation services to the Des Moines area for over 60 years. We have 59 licensed beds with sister units located at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital. We serve a diverse group of patients with diagnosis that include: strokes, neurologic disorders, amputees, trauma, oncology, and patients needing rehabilitation after a major medical illness. All patients receive a minimum of three hours of therapy daily and 24 hour acute nursing and physician monitoring and management. We are CARF accredited and are passionate about getting our patients home and providing support and services needed for a safe and successful transition. Responsibilities:
* PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
* Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
* Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
* Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Qualifications:
* Must be 16 years old or older.
* Minimum of 75-hour Certified Nursing Aid certification preferred.
* Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
