Overview: Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 for full-time offers Part-Time Days 7am-3:30pm, every third weekend and holiday rotation Younker 8 is a 23 bed Medical Surgical unit that provides an enriching learning experience while caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses specializing in pulmonary conditions. Younker 8 offers opportunities to advance critical thinking skills and nursing autonomy within our multidisciplinary team. Our nursing team has a voice to advocate for change in the nursing profession. Through collaboration with our resident physicians, professional governance council, and nurse residency projects, we utilize evidence based practice to make a difference in our patient care. Consider joining our team to help shape tomorrow. Responsibilities: * PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. * Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. * Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. * Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service. * Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment. Qualifications: License(s)/Certification(s): * CNA certification preferred * Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire. Other: * Must be 16 years old or older * Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
