Patient Care Technician-Surgery-Methodist

				Overview:

Shift: Full-Time, 40 hours/week. Variable shifts: 6:00a - 4:30p & 7:30a-6:00p, Monday - Friday, 4- 10-hour shifts. Call requirement.

Under the supervision of an RN provides direct patient care. Provides technical services and support for patients undergoing surgery and their family. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families.

Responsibilities:

* A PCT will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.  
* Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
* Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. 
* Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years old or older.
* Certified Nursing Aid certification required.
* Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work.
