Overview: Patient Care Technician-Powell 5 Surg/Neuro/Ortho Benefits Eligible Shift Differential for qualifying shifts Powell 5 is a 25-bed Neurosurgical, Trauma and Orthopedics unit providing services to inpatients and short-term observation patients. Powell 5 is an interregnal part of the Level 1 Trauma program and holds The Blue Distinction for the care we give patients with total hip and total knee replacements. Our team is committed to a multidisciplinary approach to patient centered care involving achieving best patient outcomes and safe discharge plans. Come be a part of our fascinating and rewarding team we have here on Powell 5! Responsibilities: * PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. * Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. * Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. * Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service. Qualifications: * Must be 16 years old or older. * Minimum of 75 hour Certified Nursing Aid certification required.Indicate on your application which CNA certification you possess (75 hour, 120 hour or 150 hour). Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
