Shifts: Days; Full Time and Part Time
Nights; Full Time and Part Time
Each shift requires every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Powell 4 is a 19 bed Medical Neurology and Epilepsy Monitoring unit specializing in Stroke, Seizure disorders, and other neurology disorders. We are Primary Stroke Center Certified and have one of Central Iowa's only Epilepsy monitoring units. Our dedicated team is committed to a multidisciplinary approach to patient centered care involving achieving best patient outcomes and safe discharge plans. Responsibilities:
* PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
* Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
* Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
* Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
* Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.
Qualifications:
License(s)/Certification(s):
* CNA certification preferred
* Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Other:
* Must be 16 years old or older
* Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
