Patient Care Technician-Emergency Department-Methodist West

				Overview:

Shifts: Full-Time, 3p-3a, 7p-7a Flex, every 4th weekend and holiday rotation, 36 hours/week

Part-Time, Flex 11a-3a varied hours, every Friday 11a-11p, with holiday rotation, 24 hours/week

*Full-Time Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 paid over 1 year

Under the supervision of an RN provides direct patient care. Performs procedures for patients and provides technical services and support. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families. 

Responsibilities:

* PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.  
* Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
* Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. 
* Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications:

Education: 

* Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification

License(s)/Certification(s): 

* Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. 
* Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.

Minimum Experience: 

* Comprehensive on-the-job training provided - no prior experience necessary
