Responsibilities: * Observes and reports to the RN for all significant changes in patient's condition * Prepares and sets up for suturing * Applies appropriate monitoring devices such as cardiac monitor, pulse oximeter, non-invasive blood pressure, and Dinamap * Takes and records vital signs, height and weights, measures and records fluid intake and output, collects specimens * Performs electrocardiograms * Assists patients with activities of daily living (e.g. preparing patient for and assisting with meals, bathing) * One-on-one observation with required documentation. Close observation monitoring * Demonstrates proficient computer skills * Ability to follow through with physician orders * Assist with transport of patients within the hospital * Maintains safe and orderly environment by stocking patient care areas * Responds to patient/family requests in timely manner * Assists with orthopedic procedures by applying posterior splints * Other duties as assigned Follow established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.
