Responsibilities:
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team. Leveraging your knowledge of basic patient care principles and medical terminology, you will perform a range of daily duties.
Every day you will actively assist patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding, monitoring vital signs, documenting observations, and maintaining a therapeutic and organized patient environment. You will also work closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport.
To be successful in this role you must have a genuine passion for patient well-being, diligence in executing tasks, keen observational skills regarding patient conditions, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.
Responsibilities:
* Assists the nurse/physician during examination, treatment, and procedures as requested.
* Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocol.
* Assists with patients' discharge/admission/transfer and/or transport patients throughout the hospital as needed,
* Orients patient to room/routine, monitors and records patient vital signs, weight, positioning, ADLs, I/Os,acitivity, and blood glucose readings per RN instruction, hospital protocol and standards of care.
* Obtains specimens as directed and in accordance with hospital protocol.
* Demonstrates respect for the protection of patients' rights, including closing doors or curtains while providing care.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
* Completion of Nursing Assistant program or completion of first block of nursing school
* One (1) year acute care experience
* Licensure: Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Arizona in good standing
* Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS
