				Overview:

Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services. Dignity Health Chandler Regional, Mercy Gilbert, and Arizona General Hospital Mesa awarded $422,000 in grants to support five community projects led by 15 local organizations. Since 1991, Dignity Health's Community Health Improvement Grants program has provided $91 million to nearly 3,800 health projects, focusing on vulnerable and underserved populations.

Responsibilities:

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team. Leveraging your knowledge of basic patient care principles and medical terminology, you will perform a range of daily duties. 

Every day you will actively assist patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding, monitoring vital signs, documenting observations, and maintaining a therapeutic and organized patient environment. You will also work closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport. 

To be successful in this role requires a genuine passion for patient well-being, diligence in executing tasks, keen observational skills regarding patient conditions, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.

* Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested also assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer.
* Assists in patient/equipment preparation, and retrieves necessary equipment and supplies.
* Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols.
* Prepares patients for transportation to other departments/areas when STAT or as necessary.
* Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer.
* Assists staff/patient with discharge preparations.

Qualifications:

Required

* High School GED High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience, upon hire and
* Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

* Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician Basic, or previous military medic experience, or seeking degree in nursing, or previous healthcare experience and
* Previous experience with a patient care module or personal compute
