				Overview:

At FutureCare our Patient Account Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring all necessary requirements are met so that the facility will be paid for services rendered. This position is an Accounts Receivable/Patient Accounts position with a variety of duties and responsibilities related to the day-to-day review, input, processing, and coordination of billing and receivable information between the facility and the Corporate Office.

Responsibilities:

* Perform verification of medical insurances
* Input, review, and frequent maintenance of admissions data
* Conduct daily census reporting 
* Complete monthly AR reviews  and communicate outstanding balances with residents/RP/POA as required
* Prepare and issue collection letters, including follow-up calls as needed
* Maintain resident funds accounts in accordance with State Comar regulations
* Maintain resident information confidential by staying HIPPA compliant
* Ensure timely/accurate completion and submission of all State Medicaid applications

Qualifications:

* High school diploma preferred with evidence of college courses or in accounting
* Experience Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Previous experience supporting financial teams in a long-term healthcare facility a plus
* Initiative and proactive; willing to take on new and challenging assignments
* Ability to multi-task and support multiple critical functions in a changing and growing environment
* Strong observation skills and keen attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors
* Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems using logic and reasoning
* Ability to communicate and collaborate with other accounting team members, departments, and management
