Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning and coordination of the daily patient access (admitting) operations. Conducts staff
education and training to support department efficiency and effectiveness.
* Plans and coordinates daily patient access staff assignments, distribution of workload and follow up on tasks to ensure completion.
* Conducts orientation and training of newly hired staff
* Conducts staff continuing education and training. Provides guidance and coaching to ensure staff members are familiar and compliant with established departmental goals, safety and security practices and procedures and pertinent local, state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
Minimum
Two years of business process experience in hospital or medical clinic e.g. Patient Access, Insurance Authorization, Patient Financial Services,Patient Accounting, or Patient Scheduling
Preferred
Previous leadership experience Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
