Responsible for implementing and managing Patient Access' strategic and operational objectives. Serves as a subject matter expert in Patient Access functions for both hospital and physician services. Performs highly complex assignments with minimal direction from the Director.

* Acts as a liaison with physicians, patients, ancillary departments, nursing staff, finance and all other hospital departments, insurance companies, government regulatory agencies or outside entities when problems occur, problem solves and corrects all day-to-day operational problems. 
* Take initiative; plans and manages tasks proactively; uses good judgment in decision making, prevents or minimizes conflicts, brings conflicts to acceptable level of consensus utilizing good  negotiation skills
* Develop and approve various learning and educational tools for all new initiatives, workflows and new hire training, using the organization's web-based online learning platform and/or in-class curriculum. Including weekly notifications, maintaining Patient Access SharePoint site, and payer master maintenance. 
* Lead training sessions for all claim edit, account, patient, and charge review work queues that Patient Access is responsible for (hospital and professional). 
* Identify and share trends with leaders and end-users to create a friendly learning environment. 
* Grow and enhance all new hire and refresher training needs for all revenue cycle functions: HB, PB, SBO, Cash, Customer Service. 
* Assists in writing and annual review of policies and procedures. 
* Maintains, advises and implements all procedural workflows regarding ADT and scheduling systems. 
* Coordinates training and educational efforts with all key stakeholders regarding upgrades or new module implementations. 
* Co-chair the Application Steering Committee Sub-Group, Chair the Joint Referrals Committee. 
* Advise, participate and review modern technology introduced into Patient Access. 
* Recommend policy/procedure changes, workflow updates and participate in RFP process as appropriate. 

This position is remote.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: 

* 2 years experience in a hospital and/or physician patient access environment to include experience with registration and scheduling of inpatients, outpatients, surgery cases, emergency department patients and physician office visits.
* Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Physician and/or hospital billing experience, preferred. Epic experience highly desired 
* Certified Healthcare Access Associate CHAA or CHAM - Required within one year of hire.
* High school diploma or GED requred
* Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Administration or similar, 
preferred

Physical Requirements - Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
