This position is crucial to maintaining smooth warehouse operations by ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments are processed efficiently. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, hardworking individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can perform physically demanding tasks. Location: Newburgh, NY Hours: Approxiately 20 hours per week, primarily in the morning hours Salary Description: Competitive hourly wage of $20 per hour. FLSA and Employment Status: * Non-exempt, part-time position (20 hours per week). * Schedule flexibility required; potential for additional hours based on business needs. Responsibilities: * Assist in packing and loading boxes for shipment. * Handle truck deliveries, including receiving, unloading, and verifying contents. * Organize and maintain warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency. * Perform general warehouse tasks such as sorting, labeling, and stocking items. * Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, hand truck) safely and efficiently. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment. * Assist with other tasks as needed to support overall warehouse operations. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required. * Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Basic math and reading skills. * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. * Comfortable working in a physically demanding and sometimes fast-paced environment.
