Overview: Part-Time Psychiatrist Southern Ocean Medical Center Manahawkin, New Jersey We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and provide exceptional mental health care to our community. This position offers a consistent daytime schedule in an office setting, allowing you to make a significant impact while maintaining personal and professional equilibrium. Schedule: * Standard Hours: 20 hours per week * Shift: Primarily daytime hours * Weekend & Holiday Work: Required as needed to ensure continuity of care * On-Call: On-call commitment is required In this role, you will be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing medication management. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: * Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders. * Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals. * Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting as necessary. * Provide clinical guidance and support to our dedicated team of mental health professionals. * Maintain accurate and timely patient records. Qualifications: Qualifications: * Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. * Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. * Current, unrestricted state medical license. * Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. * A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-focused care.
