				Overview:

Provides pre-kindergarten literacy services and interventions to children and families eligible for the SPARK Program and maintains highest standards in educational practice and adherence to the SPARK model. Assists in planning, evaluating, and controlling program services and ensuring that standards are met. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

HOURS: This role is full time. Applicants need to have availablity from 8am-6pm, Mon- Fri and some weekends. This opportunity will be servicing the Linden area, specifically. This role will be meeting with kids and families in their homes directly.

Responsibilities:

*  Expertly uses and serves as a resource for the educational processes, assessments, and SPARK Program specific competencies.

*  Actively assists in recruitment of children and families eligible for the SPARK program. Develops learning plans, completes required documentation, and analyzes reports for areas of improvement.

*  Accomplishes the goals of the SPARK Program through support of policies and procedures, promotes public awareness and maintains community relationships.

*  Maintains professional standards and serves as a role model by setting goals and participating in activities by staying informed of current education developments.

*  Ensures strict confidentiality regarding all matters involving children, families, and SPARK team members.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement: BS in early childhood education, K-3 education, child development or related field, or equivalent experience, required.

Licensure Requirement: Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Skills:

*  Basic computer skills.

*  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience: Five years recent experience in early childhood education, K-3 education, home visiting or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
