Responsibilities:

As our Paramedic Patient Care Tech at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.

Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

* Assists in patient/equipment preparation and retrieves necessary equipment and supplies
* Documents clinically relevant findings in patient's record according to hospital protocols.
* Prepares patients for transportation to other department/areas.
* Assists with patient admission discharge and transfer. Discharges patients, documents discharge, and adjusts discharge with MD order and in collaboration with RN.
* Initiates orders according to the time performance standards.
* Collects laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol, maintaining hospital standard of zero tolerance for mislabeled specimens.

Qualifications:

Required

* High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire and
* High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
* Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: AZ, upon hire and
* Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months and
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months and

Preferred

* Direct patient care experience.
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire and
* Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic NREMT, upon hire
