In House Paralegal with Mammoet India
Working Location: Mumbai, India
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented In-House Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will assist in house legal Counsels in managing legal documentation, record keeping, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance. This role requires excellent persuasive skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology.
Responsibilities:
* Review, and file legal documents such as board resolutions, and Key corporate documents
* Assist Legal counsel with the board meetings, shareholder meetings, and other corporate events.
* Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
* Communicate with internal stakeholders, and external parties involved in legal matters.
* Manage and coordinate schedules, appointments, and deadlines for the legal team.
* Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.
* Stay updated on changes in corporate secretarial framework with respect corporation's operations in various jurisdictions in Middle east and Asia Pacific region.
* Provide corporate secretarial support, including preparing board meeting agendas, minutes, and resolutions with notarisation/ Apostille and ministry/ embassy attestation as required.
* Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and maintain statutory records.
* Coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, regulators, liquidators and shareholders.
* Support the legal team in managing corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Qualified in Paralegal Studies/ Corporate secretarial or a related field.
* Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in an in-house legal department or corporate environment.
* Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
* Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Experience in corporate secretarial functions and knowledge of corporate governance.
* Familiarity with corporate law and regulatory compliance in a multinational context.
