Responsibilities: Our Med Surg unit takes patients from 30 days old until death. Our staff have the unique opportunity to serve our community by taking a wide range of ages, diagnosis, and cultural backgrounds. Sticking to ratios of 4-5 days and 5-6 nights, with a tech, the Med Surg unit partners with the ICU to ensure that patients with higher acuity are moved into the ICU to ensure Med Surg care for all patients. This is unique for our region, and we are very lucky to have this. We look for people that are team players, patient focused, always looking to provide higher levels of care, and adaptability. Including swing beds, we have a total of 15 patient rooms, all which can be double bunked, however we only do single rooms. Here, you will help advance modern nursing by providing your skills, experience, and commitment to compassionate care. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for: * Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. * Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. * Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact, * Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. * Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred * BLS from the American Heart Association * One year RN experience * Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's * Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) **PRN requires 5 shifts in 6 weeks** Looking for RN's to pick up night shifts and day shift
