St. Catherine Hospital Dodge City, is a Joint Commission accredited 99-bed hospital that serves as a regional referral center for southwest Kansas. Acute care is at the heart of what we do. St. Catherine Hospital � Dodge City provides health services that include diagnostics and interventional cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation. We combine patient-centered care with modern technology and medical expertise to treat a wide range of medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
Our Emergency Department has 8 beds including 2 trauma ready beds and our team cares for patients of all ages, from infant to end of life. Our patient population includes many industrial, farming and motor vehicle accidents. As the first point of contact for many patients receiving care at our facility, we strive to provide dependable, fast paced & thoughtful care to each patient. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:
* Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
* Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
* Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
* KS RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
* Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
* BLS from the American Heart Association required within 8 weeks from hire
* ALCS from the American Heart Association required within six months of hire
* PALS from the American Heart Association or ENPC required within six months of hire
* NIHSS required within six months of hire
* TNCC required within six months of hire
* Emergency Room RN experience preferred
* One year ED RN experience
* Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
Physical Requirements
* Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
PRN need is on Night shift- 6:45p-7:15 am, though there may occassionally be days available
PRN requires 5 shifts in 6 weeks.
