Overview:
Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a PNT/GPS Operations Analyst supporting United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) Global Mission Operations Division, Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) Branch at Peterson SFB CO. Their mission is to provide 24/7/365 space-based Positioning, Navigation, & Timing (PNT) in accordance with "The Space-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Policy" to maintain GPS as the international gold standard for satellite navigation systems for 6+ billion military and civilian worldwide users.
This position will interface with other Headquarters SpOC directorates, Delta-8, US Space Command (USSPACECOM), HQ Space Force, HQ Air Force (HAF), Space Systems Command (SSC), Air Force Research Laboratory, military Services, intelligence and civil agencies, and other organizations is necessary for the completion of the PNT-GPS tasks described below.
This is a full-time role at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities:
Duties include, but not limited to:
* Coordinates the development of DOTMLPF-P solutions to generate PNT/GPS capabilities in response to emerging threats
* Supports current and future operations sections to deliver military and civilian PNT/GPS through interfaces with DOD, Joint, USSF, all military Services, and USG civilian departments
* Updates HQ SpOC Guidance Memorandums associated with Spacecrew Training, Spacecrew Operations, and Standardization and Evaluation Criteria
* Coordinates support agreements and memorandum with a variety of PNT/GPS stakeholders
* Authors GPS security classification/declassification guidance
* Review technical proposals and system specification updates through Technical Baseline Configuration Management Process.
* Analyzes issues to advise the PNT MAT Lead with courses-of-action
* Conduct analysis and develop courses of action to unify and integrate efforts to deliver NAVWAR combat capability in accordance with national security objectives
* Develops input for Precise/Protected Positioning Service (PPS) and Standard Positioning Service (SPS) performance standards
* Reviews data sets for the release of the Reliability Engineering Analysis and Reliability Parameter update coordination and validation, state-of-health summary, and launch forecast to ensure GPS stakeholders operate from a common baseline and remain in compliance with DoD directives
* Develops system-level concept of employments (CONEMPs) to document a tactically focused plan detailing the presentation, employment, and operation of PNT capabilities
* Assesses delivered and future capabilities of all GPS Block II Modernization and GPS III Enterprise segments to enable maximum performance delivery for military and civil users
* Attends and coordinates across a range of PNT/GPS activities, including Integrated Product Team meetings, program and design reviews, System Security Working Groups (WG), Program Protection Working WG, Threat Steering and Program Protection WGs, Program and Budget reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings with a focus on PNT/GPS delivery of NAVWAR
* Supports Designed Operational Capabilities (DOC) statements and associated Systems Capability (SYSCAP) declaration and determination guidance for DOD/USSF compliance
* Execute the Combat Force Proponent - Fielding Process to manage and track capability development activities for successful Ops Acceptance (OA) and beyond
Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an active Top Secret security clearance
Education: Bachelors degree or higher
Years of Experience: Five or more years of USAF and USSF/SpOC experience in space operations
Certifications: NA
Additional Qualifications:
* Recent experience with GPS operations
* Good communication skills, particularly technical writing and briefing
* Microsoft product proficiency (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
Clearance: Current TS/SCI
Education: Master's degree in a technical discipline
Years of Experience: Ten or more years of USAF and/or USSF/SpOC experience in space operations
