Responsibilities:
As a PLC Maintenance Technician, you will ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems, and production machines; you will have the capability of following diagrams, sketches, manuals and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
* Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD)
* Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, utilizing your strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
* Identify and resolve PLC-related problems, utilizing your PLC troubleshooting skills
* Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
* Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
* Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs
* Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of prior Maintenance or Mechanic work experience required
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* Ability to work afternoon or night shift for the foreseeable future and weekend overtime (as needed)
* Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances
* Ability to work with vibration from a specific tool
* Ability to operate Industrial equipment as required
* Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
* Ability to work overtime if necessary
* Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.
