				Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for an PLC Engineer/Scientist to provide PLC Software support to provide functions on the Navy's Fleet Submarine Very Low and Low-Frequency Broadcast Engineering Support team.  This position will be located in Charleston, SC and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

* Provides support and has a strong working knowledge of Studio/RSLogix 5/5000.
* Provides support and has a strong working knowledge of C/C++.
* Provides support and can Reverse Engineer legacy software.
* Resolve system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolation.
* Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform maintenance and repairs based upon manufacturer specifications and recommendations.
* Responsible for software installation activities within the telecommunications function including engineering, implementation, diagnostics, and operations/user support.
* Monitors the operation of Radio Frequency (RF) network systems and transition mediums.
* Performs complex tasks relating to telecommunication network operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site, and/or remote locations.
* Develop software technical requirements, conduct surveys and engage with clients, constructions crews, utility personnel, and various government departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)

Clearance Required: SECRET

Required Skills and Experience

* BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics with 12+ years of experience in software development. With the understanding of high-powered radio transmitters, antenna tuning systems, antennas, electromagnetic propagation and allied fields, to include:  Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, and Test and Evaluation.

* Ten (10) years of experience in research development, commissioning, test, and evaluation, to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specifications, System Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test and Evaluation Criteria, and software support for C4ISR requirements.  The understanding of the design, development, commissioning, and test of real-time control systems for Navy FVLF/LF high powered radio broadcast transmitters, to include demonstrated experience in design, commissioning, and test of real time control systems for at least three Navy FVLF/LF radio transmitters with electronic controls.  Demonstrated experience and proficiency in at least four of the six following programming languages: RS Logix, Intellution, iFix, C/C++, Labview, Visual Basic, View Designer, Python, PLC RLL, FBD, SCF, ST/STL and VHD

* Ten  years of practical experience to include:

Electrical engineering supports C4ISR systems. 

Minimum ten (15) years of experience PLC Software design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.  

Understanding and/or experience desired in Allen Bradley Control Systems architecture.

Ability to interpret and implement electronic, electrical, mechanical, and installation schematics and drawings.

Understanding of electrical and electronic theory.

Experience in circuit modelling, design, and repair.

Knowledge of NAVELEX 0101,110 (series) criteria and its practical applications.

Methodical engineering approach with exceptional attention to detail.

Understanding and/or experience with PLC programming.

Desired Skills: 

PLC and SCADA programming and Ethernet network design.
