Responsibilities:
Schedules, plans, provides oversight, and coordinates tasks related to the Photographic function at Chugach Government Solutions at Picatinny Arsenal. Provides photographic services to include photographic image production using digital cameras or computer generated equipment. Uses computer software to produce finished images and prints. Work hours are subject to change, with overtime, weekend and/or holiday work as needed. Use of a personal vehicle is required for on-post travel.
Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Responsible for operating DSLR, 35mm, copy stand and passport cameras and related equipment (tripods, filters, flash attachments, studio lighting, etc.) for assignments in which the photographer makes technical decisions, although the objective of the pictures is determined by the technician or customer.
* Manages the technical photographic effects/picture composition desired by either technician or customer and discusses modifications and improvement to their original ideas in light of the potential and limits of the equipment.
* Develops, plans and organizes the overall technical photographic aspects of assignments in collaboration with customers who are responsible for project substance.
* Exercises control over the substance of events to be photographed by staging actions, suggesting behavior of the principals, and rehearsing activities before photographs are taken.
* Transfers photographs to computers for editing, archiving and electronic transmission.
* Creates and engages in research to develop new photographic procedure for new and unprecedented situations.
* Performs other photographic tasks as assigned.
* Maintains schedules of events, appointments, files, collects data for management reports, and operates computer and computer programs for workload data entry for generation of reports and records man-hours.
* Must present a neat and professional appearance at all times.
* Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 45 pounds.
* Supports the project Safety Plan though personal involvement in all aspects of Safety, including training, safety protective equipment and clothing, and adhering to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.
* Others duties as assigned.
