Overview: POSITION SUMMARY: PET Technologists cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality diagnostic medical images for interpretation at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Not only does the PET Technologist performs both PET and diagnostic CT examinations. Responsibility includes EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all PET and CT examinations. Complies with ALARA and all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program with associated certificate or degree. Licensure/Certifications: - Licensed by IEMA in nuclear medicine, -Registered by NMTCB or ARRT(N), and one of the following: - Licensed by IEMA in diagnostic radiology or, -Registered by ARRT(CT), or obtain ARRT(CT) certification within 12 months of hire - Current CPR certification (American Heart Association) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience - 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred Certification - PET Registered Education - Bachelor of Science OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
