PARALEGAL - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (DIRECT HIRE)
Intellectual Property Paralegals are a hot commodity in Seattle's legal market. A premiere Northwest law firm is seeking just such a commodity to assist their Intellectual Property practice group with patent litigation and trademark matters. Here's a fantastic opportunity to put those years of intellectual property experience to good use.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The successful candidate will have experience in matters involving patent litigation, some patent prosecution work, trademark, and copyright.
Duties include but are not limited to:
*Direct client communication;
*Direct contact with in-house attorneys, outside counsel and other legal professionals;
*Draft correspondence, memoranda and legal documents related to various patent applications;
*Assist with the preparation and filing of trademark and patent documents with the USPTO;
*Organize and maintain IP dockets;
*Respond to outstanding office actions from domestic and foreign patent offices;
*Respond to office actions and update file as necessary;
*Patent procurement, patent file histories and title searches;
*Provide administrative support as needed.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
To be immediately considered for this great opportunity, you should have the following:
*A minimum of 3-5 years experience as Paralegal in an intellectual property environment (law firm experience preferred);
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
*The ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment; while producing a quality product.
