Overview: The Overnight Supervisor works as part of an Intensive Residential Treatment Services Team that provides care, treatment and rehabilitation for persons served who are experiencing significant mental health/psychiatric symptoms; who are demonstrating significant functional impairments; and who may have co-occurring disorders. The Overnight Supervisor provides some supervisory oversight by assisting site supervisors with scheduling, training, and providing guidance to overnight staff. The Overnight Supervisor will not be part of coverage and will travel from location to location based on needs related to supervision, training, crisis consultation while on duty, oversight of compliance related to the ON ILS job duties. Responsibilities: * Promote residents' physical, social, and psychological well-being by providing individual interventions. * Interacts frequently and positively with residents and support staff to promote the rights of the residents to achieve an enhanced quality of life. * Completes new hire training for overnights and OJT checklist for each site as needed. * Provide some supervision and observation of performance of overnight employees and provides feedback. * Expresses positive expectations of others, even in difficult situations. * Delegates tasks or responsibilities for the purpose of developing other's abilities. * Rewards good performance and promotes employee recognition. * Completes corrective actions and performance improvement plans in conjunction with other leadership. * Coordinates staff training designated to meet staff educational needs, licensing standards and consumer needs. * Encourages staff to report issues of non-compliance through appropriate channels. * Complete employee evaluations in coordination with site supervisors. * Supervises operations to ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements. * Provides and promotes person centered care and facilitate independence. * Utilizes a person centered, harm reduction, culturally responsive approach in all aspects of the role. * Follow agency procedures to promote optimum health care safety practice and behavioral supports to maintain the well-being of residents. * Administrative duties (scanning, faxing, organizing as needed). * Provide guidance and instruction to overnight employees around cleaning tasks and all responsibilities on the overnight checklist. * Provide guidance to overnight employees around group and individual services for residents. * Attend, as schedule permits, Evening and Morning Crossovers to obtain and provide pertinent updates for residents. * Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with various teams. * Other tasks assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree preferred in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university. * Preferred supervisory experience. * Preferred 4000 hours experience in residential services and serving persons with serious and persistent mental illness. * Moderate travel.
