Responsibilities:
Key Objectives:
* To provide excellent Customer Service
* Supervision and management of Security Department
* Protect the assets of Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course
Essential Responsibilities:
* Prepare security incident reports and maintain security logs.
* Reviewing all logs, and reports before the end of their shift
* May be responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; supports compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
* Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
* Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
* Maintain safety and inspections reports for the property.
* Conduct regular security post inspections.
* Respond to guests and employees concerns and complaints and solve their problems with professionalism and compassion.
* Performing the function of the Security Officer or Dispatcher, as needed.
* Assuming the responsibilities of the Security Manager, in his/her absence.
* Following all Security Policies and Procedures, as they apply to the Accounting, Internal Controls and Ohio Gaming Board Rules and Regulations while reporting potential issues to management.
* Interact and cooperate with regulatory, fire/rescue and law enforcement agencies.
* Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has supervisory responsibilities.
* Responsible for staff development and training programs.
* Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
* Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regard to performance.
* Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
* Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
* Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).
Education and/or Experience: Previous Customer Service experience; previous supervisory experience; three years of Casino Security, military, or police experience; High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming's auto insurance carrier.
