Salary Description: 55k - 70k/year

Responsibilities:

As an Outside Sales Account Executive at Viking Industries, you will be a crucial component of our sales force, responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and promoting our top-quality packaging solutions. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in achieving individual and team sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement and Revenue Generation:

* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, addressing their packaging needs and proposing tailored solutions.
* Actively prospect for new business opportunities within the designated territory.

Sales Team Collaboration:

* Work closely with the Sales Manager to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
* Collaborate with internal departments (customer service, production, shipping, warehousing, and accounting) to ensure a seamless customer experience from order to delivery.
* Participate in regular team meetings and contribute insights for continuous improvement.

Product Knowledge and Industry Insight:

* Stay informed about corrugated industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
* Utilize product knowledge to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients.
* Share market insights with the Sales Manager and team to contribute to product and service enhancements.

Professional Development:

* Participate in sales training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
* Collaborate with the Sales Manager to set individual performance goals and development plans.

Qualifications:

Standard Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred (although industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
* Minimum of 3 years of successful outside sales experience. 
* Experience in corrugated or packaging sales preferred
* Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in sales management software and tools.
* Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
* Must have a valid driver's license; driver background check must show a record of sustained safe driving
