Position: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: NovaCare Silver Spring Maryland

Schedule: Weekdays MWF 7-4pm and Tu/Th 1030a-7pm

Compensation: starting at $27.00/Hr.

Our NovaCare Silver Spring Maryland outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love. 

Our clinical team averages 12 patients per day treating everyone from teens through geriatrics. Our specialty services include; neurology, sports medicine, pediatrics, fall prevention and an ACL Program on top of general orthopedics. We WELCOME clinicians of all experience levels, previous OP ortho experience is a PLUS. We can also support new graduate physical therapist assistants with onsite mentorship. 

Schedule: Weekdays MWF 7-4pm and Tu/Th 1030a-7pm

Compensation Range: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
* Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
* Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
* Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications:

* Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE. 
* State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice. 
* Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
