Qualifications:

* Education: Accredited program in alignment with licensure requirements
* Licenses/Certifications: Current Registered or Licensed Dietitian in state of practice

Preferred CDCES along with experience in weight loss and knowledge of GLP-1 medications

In this exciting position, you'll collaborate closely with pharmacists to support patients using GLP-1 medications on their journey to better health. You'll provide personalized one-on-one consultations and lead educational classes, empowering patients to make sustainable lifestyle changes for long-term success.

Responsibilities:

The Clinical Dietitian 2, under minimal supervision, works closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide nutrition care that is integrated and compatible with patient/client-focused medical goals and objectives following the Nutrition Care Process (NCP).

* Conducts nutrition care in accordance with the Nutrition Care Process while maintaining time guidelines according to hospital policy.

* Identifies patient nutrition status and nutritional needs using established standards of care and practice guidelines.

* Determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and monitoring/evaluation.

* Provides patient and staff education on Nutrition Care in an evidence-based manner using approved education materials.

* May conduct nutrition focused physical examinations to support nutrition diagnosis, make referrals to others within and outside the organization as necessary, or order/change therapeutic diets and supplements per hospital policy.

* May lead and mentor others acting as first point of escalation. May participate in interview, training and onboarding process as needed. Participate in performance improvement initiatives as needed.

* May assist Clinical Nutrition Manager with department operations and performance improvement initiatives.

* Handles moderately complex issues using knowledge of procedures and policies. Refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

* Obtains and maintains credentials, privileges, and competency for all applicable clinical areas, as administered by Medical Staff Services.

* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: Accredited program in alignment with licensure requirements
* Experience: 2 year's experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current Registered or Licensed Dietitian in state of practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
