Responsibilities:
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine section is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon to join our team of two experienced Hand Surgeons, four exceptional Hand PAs, and two Certified Hand Therapists. This is a well-established practice that involves the care of hand and elbow conditions only - general orthopaedic coverage is not expected. As a tertiary referral center for the Pacific Northwest, one would be entering a high volume practice that includes a nice mix of bread-and-butter hand and elbow conditions as well as more complex cases. The practice location is shared between our downtown Seattle campus and one of our regional medical centers. There is access to an ASC as well as a procedure room for wide-awake surgeries. We have a strong reputation for excellent patient care and highly rated surgical outcomes. Our practice covers all adult conditions from the elbow to the hand.
*We will have representation at the ASSH Annual Meeting in Vancouver, B.C. on October 10-11th. Please contact us to schedule an in-person meeting.
Qualifications:
* BE/BC Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon preferably with at least 3-5 years of experience, recent graduates will be considered
* Interest in the care of elbow conditions
* Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
* Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
Orthopaedic Team Details:
Our Orthopaedic team includes more than 8 Orthopaedic Surgeons, 1 Plastic Surgeon, 3 non-operative Sports Physicians, and 14 experienced Physician Assistants. Other members include occupational therapy, certified hand therapy, podiatry, physical therapy, nursing and administrative support. The Center for Upper Extremity Surgery at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health offers centralized, comprehensive care by fellowship-trained specialists in the treatment of the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow, including fractures, tendon injuries, Dupuytren's, peripheral nerve compression, and arthritis.
