Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 300 providers and 850 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians and APPs provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students.

Responsibilities:
Dignity Health Medical Group - Arizona seeks an Orthopedic - Hand Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Gilbert, AZ.
This position will perform:
* Weekly clinic coverage working alongside the Physician.
* Possible after hours call for emergent patient needs transferred from after hours call service.
* Rounding in the hospital.
* Administer injections with and without ultrasound guidance.
* Surgical first assisting, including wound closure and splint application.
* Maintain current knowledge of orthopedic practices through continuing medical education.
* Order, interpret and analyze diagnostic tests.
* Prescribe and administer medications and physical therapy as necessary.
* Participants in quality assurance and quality improvement for patient care.
* Works within a multidisciplinary team.
* Additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
PA Requirements:
* Degree as a Physician Assistant
* Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
* Background in pre-med preferred
* Minimum 3 years orthopedic PA experience, preferably in an acute setting.
* Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
* Valid DEA registration.
* Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
NP Requirements:
* Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners
* Compact state or Arizona RN license
* Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license
* Surgical First Assist certification
* Minimum of 3 years orthopedic NP experience, preferably in an acute setting.
* Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC, or d). NP-PNCB
* Valid DEA registration
* Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
