Overview:
Monday-Thursday; 8:00am-4:30pm. Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
POSITION SUMMARY: The Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) generates important preliminary information to be used by the ophthalmologist; reviews patient status and performs medical tests. The COA assists with the documentation and education for patients seen by the Ophthalmologist.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED
Other Licenses/Certifications: Active Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification through the IJCAHPO within 2 years of hire.
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
